The SECRET to be Happy ……

The SECRET to be Happy …… J

Last night I was telling a fairytale story to my kids …… The frog and The Princess…….……. how she kissed the frog and he turned into a Prince.

But I was shocked when they asked me number of question , like how can someone kiss a frog……he looks so ugly... dirty….. how do you know the frog is prince……. & what if he does not turned into prince…….. they argue with me that this story is wrong ……… And believe me, after their questions I was also convinced…… that how can someone kiss a frog…….. at least not me … !

But I believe that the lesson in this story was different ……… it was that …..happiness comes to those who look into people’s souls, ignoring their outer appearance, but the question is……in this real world, is it  possible to ignore outer appearance…….to check this……. I ask few of my friends……. the same question......Will they kiss the frog……… and the answer was NO. one of them said that even if he is a prince…she is not going to kiss a frog !

 Some of you will think……….If you are rich or if you can fly, drink champagne & have beautiful lady to dance with you……….. you are happy …… But the Answer is NO
  
The secret is you don’t need a lot to live well or to be happy ……….  you just need the right mindset.

We all have our princes with us, we just need to know the simple trick to be happy …………..Be happy with what you have and where you are….. too often we want to be somewhere else, doing something else, with other people than whoever we are with right now, getting things other than what we already have. But where we are is great! Who we are with (including just ourselves) is already perfect. What we have is enough. What we are doing is wonderful.
Friends ...Happiness is a choice ………..Here are few lines, which all of us know but This is just a Gentle Reminder !

Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. (Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches)

The important one is - We all should live the present ….. and stop worrying about the future and hold onto the past. Live now and you live fully.

Be grateful for the small pleasures in life. …….Keep learning,  Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. - An idle mind is the devil's workshop.


Enjoy the simple things in life ..........

Ø  A dark chocolate / Self-made tea …………… simple pleasures that are so much better than rich puddings, fried foods………… if you learn to enjoy them fully.
Ø  Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.  And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, Spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.
Ø  A good book borrowed from the friend.
Ø  A walk with a loved one in the park.
Ø  The fine exertion of a short hard work out.
Ø  The crazy things your child says.
Ø  The smile of a stranger.
Ø  Walking barefoot on grass.
Ø  A moment of quiet as the morning wakens and the world still rests.
Ø  Cooking can be fun & interesting
Ø  Drawing & painting
Ø  Interior decoration or your room.

These little pleasures will help you to live well and happy, without needing much………. Let us join the Joy team not the fear……. fear of missing out, fear of change, fear of losing someone……….. makes things unhappy and difficult for us. Do things with give you joy ……. Smile. Do something creative, meaningful, help someone, compassion for others, built love, relationship, love yourself, spend time enjoying life, do things which makes you feel good.

As I said before also happiness is a choice…….. and it’s all start from within, every problem has a solution………. So be happy & love life……….. life is Beautiful.

It feels good and I love it – MY Way for Meditation with just two minute theory.


  
It feels good and I love it. …… it’s the power within. The power which gives you energy , make your body relaxed & you feel like flying …….. just like the birds from one tree to other, on the lake, over the river, deep into the jungle , beautiful waterfall , on the top of the mountain ……… I am telling you this because I had tried myself …….it all happened because of meditation.


 Before when one of my friend told me that every morning she watch TV to follow meditation, I was Yuck…. Meditation….. I was thinking how do people manage or get time to do such things, for me sleeping early morning was the best thing in this world to do. But for her it had become someway HER way of life, watching all these programs give her happiness & side by side also teaches the truthful way to live, behave & love life. It teaches her to be happy always and that’s what everyone is looking for.

One of my another friend had started similar thing, mediation with jogging and many times he had asked me to join him but….. I was knowing, it not going to work.…… and that what happened after continuing for some days he had drop the idea.

It’s not that, I was against any early morning activities but the difficult part for me was to get up early morning……. I was knowing, it’s not MY Way …… I just can’t do it……I had tried it before many time & failed…. But today with the just two minute theory I love doing it ………and promise you will love too... It’s a great feeling, like our body is charged every time we do it.

Let me also tell you, that not everyone needs this two minute theory, one of my friend, she do not need any form of energy because she already have it within……  it will not be wrong if I say its god gifted to her…….. full day she run from one place to other, from one task to other……. And even in night if it’s about movies or going for night outs she is ready to fly again. When I asked her from where she creates all this energy ………. The answer was, I do not know…. but then she told me that, she love doing different things, different tasks, loves taking new assignments & for movies she is always ready, even if she is dead tired. ……she also told me that if it was the same work, she has to do every day than long back she might had quit………but very few of us are like this, most of us are stressed & need to be relaxed. 

If you see a small kid you will notice that he is full of energy & do 100s of things ……. He do not sit for even one minute…….. from where do he bring all the energy …..it’s from the power inside, he is free from all the tension & stress which our daily life gives us………… and none of us can run out of this, but what we all can do is to control it, and its only possible from the power inside – which can only be attained by Meditation

But How to Meditate Daily ? The question looks simple but let me tell you, all the simple looking things are not so simple….!

Let me tell you here, that with just two minute theory it works …….. Doing mediation is one of the good things I have learned from it …………and now it’s so simple that I can do it anywhere , any time and THE GOOD thing is it will always have immediate benefits………

Many of my friends will think of meditation as something you might have do with a teacher, centers, discipline…….. NO dear, in fact  it can be as simple as paying attention to your breath while sitting in your car or on the bus / train, or while sitting at the coffee shop or in your office, or while walking or showering………It can take just one or two minutes if you’re busy. There is no excuse for not doing it because it helps you to recharge and you feel good / relaxed ……….

Many of my friends will ask …… Why do I do it ……… why Meditate / why create a small daily meditation practice?

Let me tell you there are many reasons for this (WHY) – IT helps you to relax /  relieves stress / mental benefits, such as improved focus, happiness, memory, self-control, academic performance and more, Some research on meditation has indicated that it may have other health benefits, including improved metabolism, heart rate, respiration, blood pressure and more. Actually, some of the best benefits of meditation are hard to define — you begin to understand yourself better and form a self-awareness level you have never had before. Most simply, sitting for just a few minutes of meditation is an oasis of calm and relaxation that we rarely find in our lives these days. And that, in itself, is enough.

Now the Big Question is ……….How to Do It Daily ……… !

There are 100s of ways to meditate. But Mine one is just two minute theory …..as simple as possible.

Ø  Commit to just 2 minutes a day. Start simply if you want the practice to stick. You can do it for 5 minutes if you feel good about it, but all you’re committing to is 2 minutes each day.

Ø  Giving two minute is not a big deal when you are getting good return & friends everything start working from Mind. When your mind see only two minute its approve the action which eventually grows in habit & you love doing it.

Ø  You can Pick any time of the day, like morning when you wake up or during your lunch hour. It should be something like drink your first cup of morning tea / coffee.

Ø  Find a quiet place. Sometimes early morning is best time before your kids or family members awake and start making noise. Others might find a place in a park or on the beach or some other soothing setting. It really doesn’t matter where — as long as you can sit without being bothered for a few minutes. Where you are just you …… !

Ø  Sit comfortably. Don’t worry too much about how you sit, what you wear, what you sit on, etc. I personally like to sit on the floor, with my back leaning against a wall. You can sit on a chair or sofa if sitting on the floor is uncomfortable.

Ø  Start with just 2 minutes. This is really important. Some people will think they can meditate for 15-30 minutes, and they can. But we are not giving any exam — we are trying to form a longer-lasting habit. And to do that, we want to start with just a two minutes. You’ll find it much easier to start this way, and forming a habit with a small start like this is a method much more likely to succeed. You can expand it as you like it.

Ø  Emphasis on your breath. As you breathe in breath out, follow your breath in through your nostrils, then into your throat, then into your lungs and belly. Sit straight, keep your eyes open but looking at the ground and with a soft focus. If you want to close your eyes, that’s fine. As you breathe out, follow your breath out back ………If you find your mind wandering (and it will), just pay attention to your mind wandering, then bring it gently back to your breath. Repeat this process for the few minutes you meditate. You won’t be very good at it at first, most likely, but you’ll get better with practice.

And that’s it. It’s a very simple practice, just two minutes, every day, every time recharge you and in few days you will notice the change. Do this for a month and you’ll have a daily meditation practice.

Sitting and paying attention to your breath is really great you feel the inner beauty,  It’s a way to train yourself to focus your attention. Once you have practiced a bit while sitting in a quiet space, you can expand it ………….you are going to love it.  Whenever you feel stress, take a minute to pay attention to your breath ……relax, it will give you the power & peace of mind.

This development is just a start. There are many ways to do it but the two minute theory had worked for me & I am sure it will work for you……  today I love doing it ………. It feels good  & blessed………….. My God bless all of us and bring happiness in our life.
